The service

HeatMyMap (“we”, “us”) is an online tool for small businesses. It checks where your business shows up in Google search and Google Maps and shows the results as maps and reports. Some features rely on third-party services, such as Google’s APIs and directory providers, and may be limited or unavailable while those services are.

Your account

  • You need an account to use HeatMyMap. Give us accurate details and keep them up to date.
  • Keep your sign-in safe. You’re responsible for what happens in your account.
  • Only add businesses you own or are allowed to manage.
  • You must be at least 18 and able to agree to these terms for yourself or your business.

Subscription, trial and renewal

  • HeatMyMap costs $12.90 per location per month, or $129 per location per year (2 months free). Prices don’t include any sales tax that may apply.
  • You’re billed for each active location. When you add or archive a location, we update your subscription right away, and Stripe adds a prorated charge or credit to your next invoice. All the locations you have when the trial ends are billed.
  • New accounts start with a 14-day free trial. We ask for a card to start the trial. You won’t be charged during the trial.
  • Your plan renews automatically. When the trial ends, and at the start of each month or year after that, we charge your card for the next period unless you’ve cancelled.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe. If a payment fails, we may pause checks until it’s sorted out.
  • If we change our prices, we’ll tell you by email at least 30 days before the change applies to you.

Cancelling and refunds

  • Cancel anytime from Billing → Manage billing in your account. There’s no contract and no cancellation fee.
  • If you cancel during the free trial, you won’t be charged.
  • After you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for. Then your plan stops and we stop running checks.
  • Apart from the automatic location adjustments above, we don’t give refunds for partial periods, including unused days in a month or year.

Acceptable use

Please don’t:

  • use HeatMyMap for anything illegal, or to mislead or harm others;
  • add businesses you don’t own or aren’t allowed to manage;
  • try to break, overload or get around the limits of the service, or access other people’s accounts;
  • copy, resell or scrape the service or its data without our written permission.

If you do, we may suspend or close your account. Where we can, we’ll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.

Fair use and limits

Each plan has limits, such as how many keywords, prompts, review requests and AI drafts you can use. They’re listed on our pricing page and in your account. If an account’s use is far above normal we may pause new checks and contact you.

Your data

Your account details, business information and results belong to you. We use them only to run HeatMyMap for you, as explained in our privacy policy.

Closing your account

  • The account owner can delete the account from Settings → Your data. Your subscription is cancelled straight away, with no refund for the rest of the period, and scheduled checks stop.
  • Your data is deleted 30 days after the request. Until then the owner can keep the account instead, and billing has to be started again. Copies in backups are gone within 90 days.
  • You can download a copy of your data from the same page before you go.

Third-party services

Some features work with other companies’ services, such as Google (Business Profile, Search Console and Analytics) and, when added, Meta. When you connect one, its own terms also apply, and you can disconnect it at any time. We can’t control changes those services make, and a feature may stop working if they change or withdraw access.

Results and availability

Rankings come from searches we run through data providers, and Google results change often. We work hard to keep them accurate, but we can’t promise that every result is exact or that the service is never down. We can’t guarantee any ranking for your business.

Limits of our liability

HeatMyMap is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost business. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that can’t be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as HeatMyMap grows. If a change matters, we’ll email you before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.

Governing law and company details

  • These terms are governed by the laws of [Governing law to be added].
  • Disputes go to [Courts to be added].
  • HeatMyMap is run by [Company name to be added], [Registered address to be added].
